Purse's to come

I found some neat metallic materials yesterday. I'm going to make a couple of small purses out of them. They will be going up on my Etsy site so if you like the material be sure to watch my Etsy for these darling purses.
Here is the materials:

See I told you they were neat. They have an oriental feel to them. You can't see it in the pictures very well but they have metallic that picks up the light.
They should be up on the sight in about 3 weeks or so. Bookmark my Etsy so you don't miss out.

Wow!

Wow! It's been a long while since I've posted on this blog. I'm still crafting and still trying to figure out how to get more time in my day to craft.

In the last year I've been teaching myself to quilt. I started out by jumping into a mystery quilt on the internet. You have no idea what your making you just follow the instructions they give you and you end up with a quilt. That is how I taught myself to quilt! It was so much fun that I've continued to quilt and even purchased a new sewing machine for myself. Oh don't worry I still have Ole Bertha aka Kenmore. But not I've got a Babylock Saprano. She does a great job sewing. As you'll see on my Etsy web site.

I've been sewing up scarves and a purse and working on some more. I also have some blinging beauty's that will dress up your attire. Check them out.

If your a sewer like me then I've got some awesome seam rippers up there that are amazing!

Well its been a while since I've updated anything on my blog. But I haven't forgotten about it. I've been working my regular job with crazy hours, but thats to slow down hopefully.

I've been working on creating my own piece of art. This is what I've got so far. I still need to add on the necklace portion. Not sure exactly what i'm going to do on that though.

I will try and post more often on here. I have several...well wait... I have a ton of different beading projects going on right now. If only I could find the time to bead more!!!!

Bead on my friends!

Vintage Beauty!!

I haven't posted in a while, guess I've been busy beading away! Above is a vintage looking set. It's made with Swarovski Crystals and Pearls. I used copper findings with a antique bronze seed bead.

Currently I have 3 different projects going.
A dagger necklace called Willow

And another with pearls and crystals called Garden Necklace.

Now to just find the time to finish what I've got going and create some more.

Beading with Bling!!!

I took a beading class from Amy Johnson recently. We made the Metro Pendant! What a fun class.
This is the top side
This one is the bottom side. But I think you could wear it either way depending on your outfit.
While taking the class, she offered some of her other kits for sale. I bought this one called Starry Night.

She also gave us a gift for taking the class. An earring kit to put together. How nice!!! I've recently order from Beyond Beadery and am "patiently" waiting for my order to arrive. Then I can create some more beautiful Bling!!!!!

My First two beading projects!

The green braclet is the very first thing I've ever made with beading. I had bought a little kit from Micheals and taught myself how to string beads.

Then I went to one of my favorite bead stores in Shipshewanna and she had a necklace on display. I took a picture of it and bought all the materials I needed to make the necklace. And here is my first necklace I ever made.

Since then I've collected LOTS of beads. I have 4 tackle box type bead carriers. The bead bug bit me and it bit hard. LOL

Mary Anne Braclet

Here is my version of a Mary Anne Braclet.
I wanted something that would go with a new outfit I had gotten so I used pearls, seed beads and fire polished beads to create a Mary Anne braclet. I couldn't find a long pearl for the clasp so I bought a black long curvy bead. It worked perfectly!
